Circular (it’s going round)

Lens-Artists Challenge #290: Circular Wonders

Now we can begin our travels to see if there are any circular wonders to be found.
We’ll need these to get round.
In case you were wondering, the price was you’ve got to be joking

We’ll go outside, looking round we can see a carved circular shape in the sandstone wall. That was carved in 1892.

Look up. There’s a dome on the Dali Museum in Figures, Spain

Now everyone has to crouch down for this one. Now look through the hole in the back of the chair. Now, wouldn’t you take a photo too?

Back inside. Now we’re in a small rural hall. They kept the ceiling rose thank goodness when they upgraded the power in the hall. They couldn’t get flouro strips to fit the old ceiling rose.

Speaking of roses, I found this one which is rather circular. Also quite pretty. I have no idea of the name

Look, over there the Banksia is flowering, quite circular looking top down

Of course it’s now look up at the ceiling of the ceiling of The Pantheon, Rome

While we are in Rome we may as well have a look at the ceiling in the Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri

The most circular of all are the little sand balls made by a Sand Crab excavating a burrow at low tide

Here’s the little bloke. Let it run for a bit, it will get the correct Sand Crab speed. That is all the frames in a 10 frame/second made intro a GIF. I still don’t know how I managed to get it into my media files. I hope it still works for you

Here we are at the most famous circular I know of Circular Quay in Sydney

Now you’ve been everywhere, so we might as well join Lucky Starr with I’ve Been Everywhere The lyrics are all Australian places

My numbers up #8

Judy’s The Numbers Game #9: 130

Judy’s rules are –

“To play along, go to your photos file and type that number into the search bar. Then post a selection of the photos you find under that number and include a link to Judy’s Numbers Game blog of the day.”

Looking up in the Sagrada Familia. I like the coincidence that last week where there were a number of posts that included photos of the Sagrada.

Another way to my place from my daughters. If you could go straight ahead and to the left a bit, my place is over there.

A wonderful old place on the banks of The Clarence River

I always expect a flower or two will appear in the numbers. This Rose didn’t disappoint.

Along with flowers, there is a chance a bee might come along.

I am sure standing like that would be uncomfortable but the Noisy Friarbird seems content, well as content as a Friarbird can muster.

I wanted to include a B&W photo and this is the better one from the stack. Taken from a train in Europe, perhaps Swiss Alps in the background.

I am glad there was a Moon in this bunch to choose.

Now for the cute and nature part of the post.

Only one photo of a sleepy Koala for you

A photo from a while ago of Pretty Face Wallabies (real name Whiptail Wallabies) being chill with the chooks out foraging

I am so glad this little fellow appeared in the 130 numbers. A bit of creative beach fun. A Pandanus seed, the “eyes” are natural, with a red seaweed hair. We left him in a Paperbark tree on the walkway to the beach, hoping others were entertained as much as we were putting our creation together.

Red flowers (random)

CFFC: Red

I have been sorting photos. When I opened a photo file to sort, I took out anything red to use. They all were flowers. I know unusual for me to have flower photos.

Bottlebrush flowers in the morning sun

Scarlet Salvia in a park in town

Delightful red Rose

Vibrant Nasturtium flower

It’s just black and white

Lens-Artists Challenge #265: Black and White or Monochrome

I had this great idea but don’t have the time to get it together. Here is a mixed bunch.

Dryland Rice Paddock after harvest

An Iron Garden Chair

Sunrise Through the Palms
